Pinktober 2024 was created while I was travelling across France.
Every day brought a new destination, new people to meet and hours spent on the road. Alongside the journey, I challenged myself to complete one illustration every single day, proving that creativity doesn't depend on having the perfect studio or routine.
Rather than following the official Inktober prompts, I chose a different direction. At the time, I wanted to understand what kind of artwork resonated most on social media. Pin-up illustrations seemed to attract attention, so I used the challenge to experiment with character design, anatomy, dynamic poses and visual appeal while testing whether this approach would lead to greater engagement online.
The challenge achieved something far more valuable than social media metrics.
It taught me consistency, strengthened my drawing skills, and ultimately led me to question who I was creating for. Looking back, Pinktober represents an important turning point in my artistic journey. It marks the moment I began shifting my focus away from creating artwork for algorithms and towards building original worlds and telling stories that genuinely reflect my own experiences.
